What is TES in Indian Army?
Before we proceed further, first lets know what is TES Entry In the Indian Army. TES stands for Technical Entry Scheme. It’s a direct entry route for students who’ve completed their 12th standard with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) to join as technical officers. This scheme is a way for bright students to join the army as officers without having to go through the National Defence Academy (NDA).
Selected candidates undergo a four-year engineering course, followed by officer training at the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Dehradun. Upon successful completion of the course and training, they are commissioned as Lieutenant in the Indian Army.

Join Indian Army 10+2 TES 54 Entry: The Indian Army has released a short notification regarding the recruitment of Indian Army TES 54th Entry 2025. Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with a minimum of 60% in PCM. They also need to have performed well in the JEE Main examination. The selection process includes a SSB interview, where candidates are assessed for their personality and suitability for officer’s role.

Army TES 54 Salary Per Month: A newly commissioned Lieutenant in the Indian Army, through the Technical Entry Scheme (TES), is placed in Pay Level 10 of the 7th Pay Matrix. This translates to a monthly salary range of Rs. 56,100 to Rs.1,77,500. Additionally, they are eligible for various allowances and perks as per government guidelines.
