Eligibility Criteria for CSIR NET 2025 Exam

1. Educational Qualification
- Candidates must have a degree in:
- M.Sc. or equivalent degree/Integrated BS-MS/BS-4 years/BE/B.Tech/BPharma/MBBS.
- Minimum Marks Required:
- General (UR): At least 55% marks.
- OBC-NCL/ SC/ ST/ PwD/ Third gender: At least 50% marks.
NOTE: Final-year/semester students who are pursuing the qualifying exam are also eligible to apply. However, they will be admitted provisionally and must submit proof of having passed the qualifying exam with the required percentage within the validity period of the fellowship (if awarded).
2. Age Limit
- For Junior Research Fellowship (JRF): Maximum 30 years as on 01/07/2025
- Relaxable up to OBC-NCL/ SC/ST/PwD/Third gender/women applicants
- For PhD Admission/Assistant Professor: No upper age limit.
