Indian Air Force Airmen 2 2026 Notification
The Indian Air Force (IAF) has officially released the notification for the Airmen Group ‘Y’ (Non-Technical) Medical Assistant Trade under Intake 02/2026. This is a golden opportunity for unmarried Indian/Gorkha male candidates to serve the nation by joining the prestigious Indian Air Force.
The online application process has been started on 11 July 2025. Eligible and interested candidates can apply through the official website: airmenselection.cdac.in/CASB. Air Force Group Y Airmen Recruitment 2026 apply online last date is 31 July 2025.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates applying for Air Force Airman Recruitment 2 2026 must meet the following eligibility conditions:-
Age & Marital Status
- Medical Assistant (10+2 level):
- Must be unmarried
- Date of Birth: Between 02 July 2005 to 02 July 2009 (both dates inclusive)
- Medical Assistant (Diploma/ B.Sc in Pharmacy):
- Must be unmarried: Born between 02 July 2002 to 02 July 2007
- Married candidates: Born between 02 July 2002 to 02 July 2005
Educational Qualification
1. For 10+2 Candidates:
- Passed 10+2/Intermediate with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English
- Minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% in English
OR - Two-year vocational course with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English with the same minimum marks
2. For Diploma/ B.Sc (Pharmacy) Candidates:
- Must have passed Intermediate (10+2) with PCB and English with 50% in aggregate and English
- Must hold a Diploma/B.Sc in Pharmacy with 50% aggregate
- Must have a valid registration from:
- State Pharmacy Council, OR
- Pharmacy Council of India (PCI)
Selection Process
The selection for Indian Airforce Airman 2 2026 consist of three phases:
Phase-I: Online Test
- Subjects: English, Reasoning, and General Awareness (RAGA)
- Duration: 45 minutes
- Negative marking: 0.25 marks per wrong answer
Phase-II: Physical & Adaptability Test
- PFT-I: 1.6 km run within:
- 7 minutes (for upto 21 yrs)
- 7.5 minutes (for above 21 yrs with Pharma diploma/degree)
- PFT-II:
- 10 Push-ups (1 min)
- 10 Sit-ups (1 min)
- 20 Squats (1 min)
- Adaptability Test-I: Objective type test
- Adaptability Test-II: Behavioral assessment
Phase-III: Medical Examination
- Includes blood tests, ECG, chest X-ray, dental check-up, and other fitness tests.
Application Fee
Applicants are required to pay an examination fee of Rs. 550/- (plus applicable GST) while submitting their application for the Air Force Group Y/ Medical Assistant Airmen Intake 02/2026. The fee must be paid online using a debit card, credit card, or internet banking through the designated payment gateway
