DSE Assam Special Educator Recruitment 2025: The Directorate of Secondary Education (DSE), Assam has announced 59 vacancies for Special Educators in provincialised secondary schools of Assam. Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for DSE Assam Recruitment 2025, including age limit, educational qualification, etc, are provided below

Educational Qualification

• Graduate/ Post Graduate with at least 50% marks in either Graduation or Post-Graduation.
• B.Ed. (Special Education) from an RCI-recognized institution is mandatory.
• Degrees from off-campus/ unrecognized study centres will not be considered valid.
• Degrees from KKHSOU, IGNOU, IDOL (Gauhati University), and Dibrugarh University Distance Education are valid.

Age Limit (as on 01.01.2025)

• UR (General): 18 – 40 years
• Ex-Servicemen: up to 42 years
• OBC/MOBC: up to 43 years
• SC/ST(P)/ST(H): up to 45 years
• PwD: up to 50 years

Other Conditions

• Must be a permanent resident of Assam.
• Candidates must follow small family norms (not more than two living children after 01.01.2021).
• Employment Exchange Registration Number is mandatory.

Selection Process

The selection of DSE Assam Special Educator post will be done through a TET cum Recruitment Test followed by document verification.

1. Written Test (140 Marks)

• Pedagogy – 50 marks
• About Assam & Its People – 35 marks
• General Mathematics (Class 10 level) – 15 marks
• General English – 30 marks
• General Studies & Current Affairs – 10 marks

2. Additional Marks

• NCC Certificate: 5 marks for “C” Certificate / 3 marks for “B” Certificate
• Sports (National level for Assam): 5 marks
• Fine Arts/ Cultural Activities (National level representation): 5 marks
• High School TET Qualified (not yet appointed): Extra 5% of TET marks (max 5 marks)

Merit List

• A single merit list will be prepared.
• In case of a tie, the older candidate will be given preference.
