1. The Assam Cabinet has Approved the CM’s Foreign Language Initiative for Global Human Talent (CM-FLIGHT)
- Aims to provide structured foreign language training to Assam’s youth.
- 180 candidates will be trained in the current financial year.
- Govt. will invest Rs. 1.5 lakh per candidate.
- Initiative to boost overseas placement opportunities for the local population of Assam.
2. The Assam Cabinet has approved Rs. 2,750 crore project to support school education in Assam
- The Assam Cabinet has approved Assam: School Education and Adolescent Wellbeing Project
- This project will strengthen infrastructure and equip schools with trained teachers and modern facilities.
- Under these project 400 new schools and 1,733 Anganwadi Centres will be built with trained teachers focused on science and technology.
3. The Assam Cabinet has approved Collective Infrastructure Development of Apartment Buildings.
- The infrastructured to be funded under MLALADs and United Fund to extend government welfare schemes to apartment residents.
- Activities such as Repair of internal roads, Uninterrupted water and electricity supply, Installation of security systems, and more will be taken under this scheme.
4. Allotment of Land under Mission Basundhara 3.0
The Assam Cabinet has approved-
- Conversion of 158 lands across 6 districts from Annual Patta to Periodic Patta.
- Conversion of 234 Tea Grant/Period lands to Periodic Patta.
- Land allotted for 48 infrastructure projects.
- Land allotment to 27 non-individual juridical entities.
5. The Assam Cbinet has approved Rs. 150 crore for the development of police stations under the MOITRI scheme.
6. Ensuring Efficient Policing in Co-Districts
The Assam Cabinet has approved-
- Upgradation and redesignation of sanctioned posts in Assam Police.
- Creation of 10 new Co-District Superintendent of Police (CDSP) posts.
- Aimed at smooth policing in 10 upcoming co-districts.
7. Creation of Assam Innovation and Startup Foundation
The Assam Cabinet has approved-
- Formation of Assam Innovation and Startup Foundation under the Department of Innovation, Incubation and Startups (DIIS).
- Focused on promoting innovation and startup-related activities across the state.
- Will open employment opportunities and support overseas placements for local talent.
