Assam Cabinet Meeting 27 August 2025 Details
1. The Assam Cabinet has approved Streamlining Inter- Religion Land Transfer
- The Assam cabinet has approved a new streamlined procedure for granting permission to transfer immovable property in cases where the transfer happens between people of different religions.
- This step has been taken to stop fraudulent, forceful, or illegal land transfers that could create communal tension. It will also ensure that all transfers are carried out fairly, in line with the constitutional values of equality and non-discrimination.
2. Assam Cabinet Discussed To Boost Investment in Assam
- The Assam Cabinet has approved customized incentives under the Industrial and Investment Policy of Assam (IIPA) 2019 for four major investors in the gas, health, tourism, and hospitality sectors.
- Together, these four investors will bring in an investment of Rs.969 crore and are expected to generate employment for over 2,700 youth in the state.
3. Financial Reward For Jhumoir Performers
- The Reward to perfomers of Jhumoir Binandini will be distributed on October 12, 2025.
4. The Assam Cabinet has approved Setting Up Layer Farm
- The Assam Cabinet has has approved the setting up of commercial layer farm for the poduction of Bahubali Eggs by North East Agro poducts & Services in Dergaon, Golaghat.
- The Farm will come up with the investment of approx Rs. 25-30 crore and generate around 700 direcr indirect jobs.
5. VRS for employees for Assam plantation Crops Development Corporation
- The Assam Cabinet has approved VRS for employees of Assam plantation Crops Development Corporation Ltd and its closure
