Here are the key decisions taken in the Assam Cabinet Meeting on April 12, 2025.
1. The Assam Cabinet has approved a year-long celebration to commemorate the 100th birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhupen Hazarika, honouring his life and legacy from September 8, 2025, to September 8, 2026.
2. The Assam Cabinet has approved operstionalisation of 10 more co- districts by 15 August 2025.
The 10 Co- districts are: Boko- Chaygaon, Palasbari, Barchalla, Anapara, Makum, Teok, Mariani, Dholai, Digboi, Dudhnoi.
3. The Assam Cabinet to improve the quality towards Cancer Care under Assam Cancer Care foundation (ACCF) has approved financial sanction of Rs. 250cr.
4. The Assam Cabinet has approved the handover of milk processing units located in Bokakhat, Dibrugarh, Jorhat, and Bajali under the Dairy Development Department to North East Dairy and Foods Limited (NEDFL), a joint venture between the Government of India and the Government of Assam.
