Assam Cabinet Meeting 4 June 2025: The Assam Cabinet, led by Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, convened on 4 June, 2025, and took several important decisions aimed at inclusive development and welfare. The key highlights of the meeting include-
- Administrative approval of Rs. 400 cr for Swahid Kanaklata Barua University
- Strengthening FPO in Assam
- Approved Jiban Anuprerna Scheme for research Scholars in Assam
- Boosting to Welfare initiatives
- The Assam Disaster Resilient Hill Area Roads Development Project in Dima Hasao
- Finanacial Sanction of Rs. 843cr for BTR development
- Re designation of 35 post in the rank of SP & SSP in the districts
Assam Cabinet Meeting 4 June 2025
Here are the key decisions taken in the Assam Cabinet Meeting on June 4, 2025.
1. The Assam Cabinet has approved Administrative approval of Rs. 400 cr for Swahid Kanaklata Barua State University, Gohpur.
2. The Assam Cabinet to Strengthe FPO in Assam has approved opperational guidelines for implementation of Mukhiya Mantri Utkarsh Yojana
The Cabinet has also a grant of Rs. 15 lakh each will be provide to 500 FPOs/FCOs in 2 instalments
3. The Assam Cabinet has approved the Jiban Anuprerna Scheme, which will provide one-time financial assistance to research scholars, including differently-abled scholars, enrolled in public institutions in Assam.
- Rs. 25,000 of One Time Financial Assistance for research scholars
- Rs. 40,000 of One Time Financial Assistance for Divyang Research Scholars
4. The Assam Cabinet to fill conectivity has approved- The Assam Disaster Resilient Hill Area Roads Development Project in Dima Hasao
A Total of Rs. 3875 cr has has been approved for 348 km roads in Dima Hasao, The road which will be built are given below in the table.
