In a contest that pitted Hagrama Mohilary, the former BTC Chief and BPF President, against his former deputy Khampa Borgoyari, the ex-BTC Deputy Chief, the seat stayed with the BPF.
Hagrama Mohilary, the sitting MCLA and veteran BPF leader, retained his stronghold by defeating Khampa Borgoyari, who had shifted allegiance to the UPPL.
