EO, RO & ARO for BTC Election 2025: The Assam State Election Commission (AEC), on 18th March 2025, officially appointed the Election Officers (EO), Returning Officers (ROs), and Assistant Returning Officers (AROs) for the for the smooth conduct of the BTC Election 2025.
The Governor of Assam, through a government notification no- SEC.07/2025/55, had designated the Assam State Election Commission as the authority responsible for overseeing the BTC elections. The Commission has been entrusted with the powers of superintendence, direction, and control over the preparation of electoral rolls and the conduct of the elections.
The appointed officers will carry out all duties related to the conduct of the BTC elections. This includes preparing the electoral rolls for the constituencies of the General Council of the BTC. They will function under the guidance and supervision of the State Election Commission, strictly in accordance with the provisions laid down in the BTC Election Rules, 2004.

AEC Appoints EO, RO & ARO for BTC Election 2025
The Assam BTC Election 2025 is tentatively scheduled for September 2025, as announced by Hon’ble Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma. The announcement was made during the celebration of Gwthar Bathou San, which coincided with the observance of the 3rd BTR Peace Accord Day on January 28, 2025.
