Assam State Premier League | ASPL
The Assam State Premier League, a football league at the state level, was first introduced in 2008.
However, it faced a period of discontinuation after 2015. Fortunately, in 2023, the Assam Football Association decided to revive the league after a gap of seven years.
In this league structure, the champion of ASPL gets promotion to the I-League 3, while the team that finishes at the bottom faces relegation to the Assam Club Championship.
Currently, the league consists of eight clubs who participate in the matches. The format of the league involves each team playing against each other both at home and away.
