Indian Navy SSR Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for Indian Army SSR Recruitment 2025 includes educational qualifications, age limits, etc, which are discussed in details below

Indian Navy SSR Educational Qualification

• 12th passed with Maths and Physics from the Boards of School Education recognized by the Ministry of Education, Government of India with minimum 50% marks in aggregate.
  OR
• Passed 3 years diploma course in Engineering (Mechanical/ Electrical/ Automobiles/ Computer Science/ Instrumentation Technology/ Information Technology) from Central, State and UT recognized Polytechnic Institute with 50% marks in aggregate.
  OR
• Passed 2 years Vocational Course with Non-vocational subject viz, Physics and Mathematics from Education Boards recognized by Central, State and UT with 50% marks in aggregate.

Indian Navy SSR Age Limit

• Candidates should be between 17.5 years to 21 years on the day of enrolment

• Agniveer 02/2025 Batch: Candidate should be born between 01 Sep 2004–29 Feb 2008
• Agniveer 01/2026 Batch: Candidate should be born between 01 Feb 2005–31 Jul 2008
• Agniveer 02/2026 Batch: Candidate should be born between 01 Jul 2005–31 Dec 2008

Indian Navy SSR Marital Status

Only unmarried Indian male and female candidates are eligible for enrolment as Agniveer in India. Candidates must give a certificate of being ‘unmarried’ at enrolment. Agniveers shall not be permitted to marry during their four-year tenure in India. A candidate shall be dismissed from service if they marry during their tenure or are found to be already married despite giving a certificate of being unmarried.

Indian Navy Agniveer SSR Salary

• Agniveers will be paid a package of Rs. 30,000 per month with a fixed yearly increment. In addition, risk and hardship, dress, and travel allowances will be paid.
• Agniveers shall be given a one-time Seva Nidhi package comprising their monthly contribution along with a matching contribution by the Government on completion of their engagement period, as indicated below:
