BTR Budget Session 2025-26: For the financial year 2025–26, the BTR Government has announced a total outlay of Rs. 4,119 crore, including Rs. 843 crore allocated under the SOPD scheme. This budget reflects the government’s continued commitment to lasting peace, good governance, social justice, and inclusive growth, as outlined in the BTR Peace Accord of 2020 and aligned with India’s vision of Viksit Bharat @2047.

1. Social Justice
The BTR Government is taking steps to ensure justice, protection, and dignity for women and children:
- Five special prosecutors will be appointed in each BTR district.
- Quick legal action will be taken in cases of sexual offences, trafficking, and witch-hunting.
- 24/7 legal help and support will be provided for affected women and children.
- Special attention will be given to tea garden areas where women and children are more vulnerable.

2. BTR Government Empowering Migrant Women Livelihood
The BTR Government is helping migrant women through skill development, social inclusion, and legal support:
- Providing vocational training for economic independence.
- Setting up community centers for counseling, networking, and legal aid.
- Raising awareness about property rights, labor laws, and welfare schemes.
- Working together with government agencies, CSOs, and academic institutions.

3. Welfare of Women and Children

5. Bodofa Livelihood Mission
The BTR Government has launched the Bodofa Livelihood Mission to improve the livelihoods of people in BTR. Key initiatives include:
- Setting up 10 organic markets along NH-27.
- Including retail shops, restaurants, cold storage, and 24/7 services.
- Promoting BTR’s organic produce, handloom, and handicrafts.
- Strengthening market links and empowering local farmers.
- Building value-chain clusters for milk, eggs, spices, mushrooms, and high-value crops.
- Supporting scientific goat rearing activities.
- Developing the full value chain for Agar- from nursery to processing- to help farmers build long-term wealth.

The BTR Government has initiated several historic tributes to honor the legacy of Bodofa Upendra Nath Brahma:
- On 1 May the road in New Delhi name Lala Lajpat Rai Marged- will be named in memory of Bodofa Upendra Nath Brahma.
- A grand commemorative event will be held, graced by the Hon’ble Home Minister of India and the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Assam.
- A statue of Bodofa will be unveiled at Kailash Colony in New Delhi, serving as a lasting symbol of his contribution and vision.
