Assam OBC Meritorious Students Scheme 2025 Notification | Full Details
The Special Incentive to OBC Meritorious Students (Boys & Girls) is a scheme by the Government of Assam to help OBC students who do well in their studies. It is run by the Directorate of Welfare of Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes, Assam.
If you are an OBC student and scored 80% or more in the HSSLC exam, you can apply for this scheme.
The aim is to support and encourage OBC students to go for higher education. Selected students will get up to Rs. 10,000 as a reward. To get the money, you must meet all the rules and submit the required documents. The final decision will be made by the Selection Committee.

The students belonging to the OBC Communities in Assam are eligible to apply for the Assam OBC financial assistance scheme 2025. The student must also secure 80% or more in the HSSLC exam.

OBC students who wish to apply for the special incentive provided by the Assam Government must meet the following eligibility criteria.

How to Apply Online For Special Incentive to OBC Meritorious Students
The applications will be accepted through the myScheme platform from 04/07/2025 to 31/08/2025.
Step 1: Set Up DigiLocker Account
- Go to the DigiLocker website or download the DigiLocker app (Android/iOS).
- Click “Login/Register”.
- Enter your Name, Gender, Mobile Number, Email ID, Aadhaar Number, and create a 6-digit PIN.
- Click “Submit”. Save the PIN for future use.
Step 2: Sign in to myScheme – https://www.myscheme.gov.in/schemes/siomsbg
- On the top right of the page, click “Sign In”.
- Enter your DigiLocker mobile number and 6-digit PIN.
- Tick the “I consent to terms of use” box and click “Sign In”.
- On the next screen, click “Allow” to give permission.
- You are now logged in to myScheme.
Step 3: Fill Out the Scholarship Application
- Click “Apply Now” at the top of the page.
- Fill in all required details and upload the necessary documents.
- Review your information carefully and correct if needed.
- Click “Submit”. A message will appear: “Form Submitted Successfully!”
- Click “Print” to download the form as PDF, or click “Ok” to return to the home page.
