Indian Army SSC Tech Recruitment 2025 Notification
The Indian Army has released a notification for the 66th SSC (Tech) Men and 66th SSC (Tech) Women Entry Scheme. This recruitment drive also includes special provisions for widows of Defence Personnel who died in harness, allowing them to apply under both Technical and Non-Technical (Non-UPSC) categories for the grant of Short Service Commission (SSC) in the Indian Army.

Indian Army SSC Tech Recruitment 2025 – Eligibility Criteria
1. Nationality
A candidate must be either:
- A citizen of India, or
- A subject of Nepal, or
- A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, and East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
Candidates belonging to categories other than Indian citizens must produce a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India.
2. Age Limit

3. Educational Qualification
For SSC(Tech) Men and Women:

For Widows of Defence Personnel:

4. Marital Status
- For SSC (Tech) Men and Women: Unmarried candidates only.

Indian Army SSC Tech Salary
During the training period at the Officers Training Academy (OTA), Chennai, Gentlemen and Lady Cadets receive a fixed monthly stipend of Rs. 56,100. This amount is equivalent to the starting basic pay of a Lieutenant under Pay Level 10 of the Defence Pay Matrix.
Upon successful completion of the training and grant of commission, candidates are appointed as Lieutenants and placed in Pay Level 10, with a salary ranging from Rs. 56,100 to Rs. 1,77,500 per month, along with other admissible allowances as per the rules.
After the training, selected candidates are formally granted the Short Service Commission (Technical) in the rank of Lieutenant.
