What is the Martyr of Assam Movement Quota?
This quota is reserved for children or close family members of martyrs who laid down their lives during the Assam Movement. The Government of Assam offers special MBBS/BDS seats to such families as a gesture of respect for their contribution to the state.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for MBBS BDS Admission under the Martyr of Assam Movement quota:
- The applicant must be a permanent resident of Assam.
- The candidate must have appeared and qualified in NEET UG 2025.
- The candidate should be the legal heir/family member of a person officially recognized as a Martyr of the Assam Movement.
- Documentary evidence confirming martyr status and relationship is mandatory.

- Visit DME Assam official website: www.dme.assam.gov.in
- Look for the MBBS/BDS Admission 2025 (Special Quota) section.
- Download the special quota application form.
- Fill in all required details like: Personal, Educational qualifications, Category under which you’re applying (e.g., Martyr of Assam Movement Quota), NEET UG 2025 details.
- Attach self-attested photocopies of Martyr of Assam Movement quota.
- Submit the filled form and documents in person to: Office of the Director of Medical Education, Assam, 2nd Floor, Room No. 5.
- Submission must be done on or before 11 July 2025 (during office hours).
