MBBS Reservation in Assam 2025: In Assam, medical seats are reserved for certain categories, including Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC/MOBC), Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), Non Creamy Layer (NCL), and those who have studied in government schools. A 5% of reservation is place for those students who studied from Class VII to X in Government Schools under SEBA and Class XI and XII in State Government Schools/ Colleges/ Provincialized Colleges of Assam under AHSEC.

The Assam NEET UG 2025 reservation policy plays a vital role in the admission process for MBBS and BDS courses under the 85% State Quota in government medical and dental colleges of Assam. The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Assam, is responsible for managing the entire admission and counselling process, including the allocation of seats across various reserved categories.
